How to chip seal a driveway.

Blacktop Northwest chip sealed a small driveway in Dallas Oregon. This was a small driveway so we used the chip rock spreader with one of our skid steers.
In most cases with longer stretches we will use the dump truck with the chip spreader tailgate.

Step by step chip seal driveway process.

1. Grade and compact proposed chip seal area. Be sure to get rid of all the loose bigger gravel. We need the surface to be fairly tight.
2. Spray crs2p or crs3p chip oil over the proposed chip seal area.
3. Apply thin course of chip rock over the hot chip seal oil.
4. Roll with rubber tire pneumatic roller to set the chip rock into the chip oil
5. Take pictures and shake hands with another happy customer.
