Planning to go to another place to celebrate my wife's Birthday but we we're not able to make it up due to booking policies implemented on that island. We we're not expecting not being able to get there. But fortunately when we were looking for another option, I was personally much excited than the previous planned trip. In stead we found Carnaza Island!, It is a 3++ hours ride via Bus and 2++ hours via car stopping at Tapilon Port. You then have to ride a pumpboat which you can find a number of it plying to Carnaza, just register your name to their local government which serves as the marina officer in the place, you don't have to pay any amount. The boat ride as a joiner would collect a P200.00 Fare which would take you there for 2 hours or less, if the boat is too slow then 2++ is the travel time. In our case we contacted Peter Tours, a Carnaza Local captain with his super accommodating crew Aljun and his team. They will drop you at the Eco Park if you are planning to stay there else they would drop you to the village where you could find a number of stay. I recommend you to stay at Carnaza Eco Park. At Eco Park they would collect P200 entrance/ pax and P200 for the wooden house that could accommodate 2 pax. This are beachfront cute little houses. They have their own kitchen and dining area. If you wish to bring your own food they don't collect corkage fees. But if you want someone to cook for you they their very friendly cook just pay P300 as service fee and they can cook your meal every time you want it except beyond 7pm. Fish and meat products are available but limited so you have to arrange your meal earlier. Food would usually costs P450-500 for a kilo of fish, some meat for barbecue and a platter of rice. It could feed up to 4 people. Places must see, aside from Eco Park which is a charming beach right in front of you, you would love to go for a land tour for 3 must visit places, The Skull Cave, The Helipad and the Lantaw, an overlooking coral rock formation, this would cost you P150.00/pax and per motorcycle with driver. You can also arrange for an island hopping that would cost you P1,500. Places you must see are, Elena's Beach, Dakit-Dakit Island, La Manok Sand Bar and a bonus if the boatman would allow you would be the Punta Linao, a coral ridge that is carved by big sea waves and formed some irregular and interesting rock formation. a recommend you to look for Peter or his sons which can be contacted thru facebook are Elmer and Junrey Gacutan, here is a mobile number in one of his crew named Glen, 09192639205.
