Send the Love: Cancer Care Bags by Shelley

This week, we're turning the spotlight on Cancer Care Bags by Shelley.

This small nonprofit was founded by a woman who battled breast cancer.

Shelley had a double mastectomy and needed chemotherapy. A friend gave Shelley a care package to help her through the treatment, and ever since, it's been Shelley's mission to pay it forward.

She creates bags that are personalized to the patient's interests and treatment plan.

For example, Candy has fought Stage 4 breast cancer, and she received a bag with a blanket, socks, pajamas, lotions, a water bottle and puzzle book.

Candy said that bag of love lifted her spirits.

The goal this week is to raise $2,000 in donations, which would provide cancer care bags for 13 patients.
