Tandberg TCD-910 Recording DEMO Type 2 Tape & Dolby C

A clients deck in for service and repairs.

On receipt, the left level meter was frozen and wouldn’t respond to any signals.

The tape counter had one segment of the first number not working.

These were repaired as you can see. Then the transport was removed for a service. The power supply had some new caps too.

The flywheels in this thing are massive and the resultant W&F exceptional at 0.02WTD JIS with ANT Audio W&F Test Tape. Speed stability is also excellent.

Playback and recording capability is excellent now.

The client felt that FF & RW may have been a bit too fierce but these checked out ok after extensive testing.

A very high end deck for the enthusiast to enjoy. Not many around and information about them is also scarce.
