How to Practice Neutral Observation

Описание к видео How to Practice Neutral Observation

The four basic attention practices include observations, feelings, needs, and requests. In the observation phase, we are aiming to collect neutral information about what is happening in our immediate periphery.

Almost immediately, most people have a story playing in the background adding information, leaving pieces out, assessing, and interpreting. All of these additions interfere with our ability to stay neutral and factual about what is actually happening, right now. The supplementary information is not bad or something to work away from, it can actually provide very rich information about our opportunities for healing and growing.

• Observation prompts: What is happening? What is arising?
• Stick to the facts
• Receiving neutral observation
• Benefits of mindfulness practice
• Finding shared reality
