LOST LIVE TAPES: Ray Charles Live in Philadelphia, July 5 1976

Описание к видео LOST LIVE TAPES: Ray Charles Live in Philadelphia, July 5 1976

Just discovered a copy of this rare mono "off the board" recording of Ray Charles performing live at the Robin Hood Dell East in the first concert of the 1976 season on July 5th, just one day after the Nation's Bicentennial Celebration. It was also the first performance of the entire "Better Break" Series which began this same year, when the City of Philadelphia Department of Recreation took over the facility full time, while the Philadelphia Orchestra moved into its new home across the Schuylkill River in Fairmount Park at what is now called the "Mann Music Center'.
