Engines were trained on data on the web including original images and artwork
The ban does not affect the submission of 3D renders
Confidence in stock photo site depends on customers knowing there will be no legal issues
Getty Images is reportedly relying on users to report offending content
Also working with the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity to create a filter to automatically flag up suspect images
Most images can’t be uploaded straight away anyways due to low resolution and other glitches
Other tools are used to upscale and fix oddities in order to enable uploads
Typically, original artwork or image can be used if it is “substantially transformed”
