Saindhavi is a popular film playback singer and a Carnatic music vocalist. She started singing at the age of 5 and has sung around 700 film songs. She is a regular performer in Marghazi seasons and has sung about 150 devotional albums. In 2013, she got married to her schoolmate and music composer G.V.Prakash Kumar.
