Manipur footballer Konsam Chinglensana's house in Khumujama Leikai was burnt down amid Manipur Violence. Chinglensana hails from Khumujama Leikai in Churachandpur district, and miscreants even burnt down the football turf built by him.
The Indian Super League Club Hyderabad and national team player decided not to take part in the Inter-Continental Cup and the South Asian Football Federation Championship in June and July 2023 due to the ethinic violence in Manipur.
