Poland said Russian missiles fired at western Ukraine had entered its airspace several times. However, Russia says that this intrusion was accidental.

अभी तक रूस के लिए एक अच्छी बात यह थी कि कई नेटो सदस्य देश यूक्रेन का खुलकर साथ देने के लिए तैयार नहीं थे, लेकिन नेटो देशों को लेकर रूस की धमकियों से अब नेटो देश रूस के खिलाफ ज्यादा एकजुट हो रहे हैं. अभी हाल ही में रूसी राष्ट्रपति व्लादिमीर पुतिन के एक सहयोगी व्लादिमीर सोलोविओव ने फिनलैंड और पोलैंड की राजधानी वॉरसा को भी रूसी क्षेत्र बताया हुए दावा किया है कि रूस इसे लेकर रहेगा. इसके बाद से रूस और पोलैंड में और तनाव बढ़ गया. ऐसे में पोलैंड ने अपने एयर डिफेंस सिस्टम के जरिए रूसी मिसाइलों को मार गिराने पर विचार करना शुरू कर दिया। पोलैंड के विदेश मंत्रालय के प्रवक्ता पावेल व्रोन्स्की ने बुधवार को बताया कि इस मुद्दे पर कानूनी और तकनीकी दृष्टिकोण से विचार किया जा रहा है. पोलैंड ने कहा कि पश्चिमी यूक्रेन पर दागी गई रूसी मिसाइलें कई बार उसके हवाई क्षेत्र में दाखिल हुई हैं. हालांकि, रूस का कहना है कि यह घुसपैठ आकस्मिक थी.
