We have a Sony LED TV model Kd-60x690e with no picture and the standby light at the bottom turns from green to a red blinking light that blinks 6 times and cycles through a 6 times blink error code with a 3-5 second pause in between cycles.
This is a detailed troubleshooting procedure that works on any Sony LCD television. The key here is that Sony televisions do a self-check at plug in, so when the TV then is attempted to be powered on; the standby light actually turns green and tries to power up for about 15 seconds until the TV realizes
there is a problem and then shuts down giving a blinking error code on the front of the television.
