Historically black colleges and universities (also known as HBCUs) are institutions of higher education that primarily serving the African American community. While education and academic excellence are paramount to the HBCU experience, there are other unforgettable aspects that make black college life one of a kind: Unique social life, Marching bands, Greek life, exciting athletics, Black culture, Homecomings, and school spirit "out of this world".
