Hey guys! In this impromptu live, I (Abby) talk about selling on Amazon and answer questions from my audience. I’ve been an Amazon seller for six years, focusing on private label products, which means I buy in bulk, brand the products, and sell them through Amazon’s FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) program. This lets Amazon handle storage, shipping, and customer service, so I never have to worry about logistics.

I discuss why now is a great time to start selling, especially since Chinese New Year is over, meaning suppliers are back in business. I also break down the realistic timeline for launching a product, which is about 90 days, depending on how fast you work through the steps. Some people launch in as little as six weeks, but typically, product production and shipping alone take about two months.

A big topic in the chat was AI and whether it’s changing how I approach Amazon FBA. My answer? Not really. AI tools can help with research and optimization, but they can’t replace the strategy, decision-making, and adaptability needed to run a successful business. I still rely on tools like Helium 10, which I’ve used for years.

I also touch on concerns about competition, tariffs, and the future of e-commerce. Yes, more people are selling on Amazon, but that doesn’t mean there’s no opportunity. Amazon has millions of buyers, and if you do your research, there’s still plenty of room to succeed.
