It was announced that a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Turkey and Spain for the HÜRJET Jet Training Aircraft Project.
Spanish HÜRJET Passengers. HÜRJET, developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), was previously inspected by the Spanish Air Force. The HÜRJET prototype landed at Torrejón Air Base (Madrid) last July and was comprehensively evaluated by a foreign air force for the first time. Following the evaluation process, the Spanish delegation visited the HÜRJET facility in Ankara and conducted a detailed inspection. Spain is also said to be replacing its F-5 fleet used in advanced jet training with 24 HÜRJETs.
