I just previewed Amazon’s new series #TheGirlfriend, and wow #OliviaCooke and #RobinWright going head-to-head is electric. Wright plays Laura, a mother whose world unravels when her son brings home his new girlfriend, Cherry (Cooke). Tension builds fast as suspicion turns personal, and you’re never quite sure whose side you’re on.

Robin Wright doesn’t just star, she also directs, bringing a sharp, intimate touch to every scene. Wright is magnetic as a protective mother, and Cooke is captivating as the mysterious, possibly dangerous Cherry. The chemistry between them is nothing short of thrilling.

The supporting cast is stellar including Laurie Davidson, Waleed Zuaiter, Tanya Moodie, and more round out this suspenseful story. Shot across London and Spain, the locations add a cinematic edge to the drama. The Girlfriend is smart, intense, and impossible to turn away from I can’t recommend it highly enough.
