🔍 Chemo Port क्या है?
Chemo Port एक छोटा medical device होता है, जो chest के upper हिस्से में skin के नीचे implant किया जाता है।
इसमें दो parts होते हैं:

एक छोटा chamber (port)

और उससे जुड़ा हुआ catheter, जो बड़ी नस से जुड़ता है।

📌 इसका main purpose है कीमोथेरेपी की दवाएं direct bloodstream में देना – जिससे बार-बार vein में सुई लगाने की जरूरत नहीं पड़ती।

🕒 Implantation procedure करीब 30–60 मिनट में होता है, और ये local anesthesia के तहत किया जाता है।

Chemo Port से न सिर्फ chemo drugs दी जाती हैं, बल्कि blood samples लेना या दूसरी IV medicines देना भी संभव होता है – जिससे patients की veins पर strain कम पड़ता है।

क्या Port से कीमोथेरेपी दर्द देती है?
इसका honest answer है –
"नहीं, या बहुत ही कम!"

✅ Port access के लिए जो special needle यूज़ होती है, उसे Huber needle कहा जाता है।
जब ये सुई डाली जाती है, तो सिर्फ हल्की चुभन महसूस होती है – पर ये discomfort, traditional IV या cannula से काफी कम होता है।

📉 Port के इस्तेमाल से drug leakage का risk भी कम होता है, और surrounding tissues में irritation या सूजन नहीं होती।

🔄 Time के साथ, मरीज को इस प्रक्रिया की आदत हो जाती है और दर्द virtually न के बराबर महसूस होता है।

🏥 Chemo Port कितनी तकलीफ देता है?
Implantation के बाद शुरुआती कुछ दिन हल्की सूजन या दर्द हो सकता है – जो दर्द निवारक दवाओं से कंट्रोल किया जा सकता है।

Long-term में, Port इस्तेमाल करते वक्त discomfort minimum होता है।

Port के जरिए chemo देना fast, clean और safe होता है।
