Peanut Butter Kandykakes

Описание к видео Peanut Butter Kandykakes

Tastykakes are (in my opinion) the best snack cakes in the US. To my knowledge, they are only available in the Philly metro area. If you can get them shipped to you, try them. If not, you can make your own. These peanut butter kandykakes are as good as the original (maybe better). Kids and adults will love them.

Recipe
4 large eggs
2 cups sugar
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking soda
pinch salt
1 cup peanut butter
8 ounces milk chocolate (melted)

beat eggs until thick and lemon colored (about 5 minutes)
gradually add sugar and continue beating
add milk and vanilla while beating

mix together dry ingredients (flour, baking soda and salt) and blend into egg mixture

Pour batter into greased and floured jellyroll pan (13x15x1) - make sure pan has a high edge because it will rise.

Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes

Remove from oven and spread peanut butter over top while the cake is still hot.

Let cool thoroughly (I put it in the refrigerator for a bit once it cools down)

Melt chocolate and spread over top.

Refrigerate until firm and then cut into squares (I took it out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temp before cutting to avoid cracking the chocolate).

Enjoy with a big glass of milk!
