Independence of the Seas is a 15-deck Freedom-class cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean International originally launched in 2008. It has a full capacity of 4,375 passengers, with a length of 1,112 feet.
It's Main Dining Room has a capacity of 2,101 guest and the Windjammer Cafe can seat 774 guests. The Broadway Theatre can seat 1,320 guests.
It had a multi-million-pound makeover in 2018 and was relaunched returned to the water in 2019. The range of new and upgraded features is broad and they span across the entire ship.
Guests can now reach new heights at the Skypad - a nine-tonne yellow globe which looks like a modern art sculpture. It is huge bungy jumping trampoline where you strap in and adorn a virtual reality head set. You can choose from different virtual reality worlds or launch in to space.
It has new sweet shop on the Promenade called Sugar Beach, two racing waterslides called the Perfect Storm - Cyclone and the Typhoon. The slides are up on deck 13 alongside the FlowRider and the new glow-in-the-dark Laser Tag: Battle for Planet Z game room.
The Independence of the Seas was the seventh ship to offer passengers the new Royal smart phone app. Features accessible to guests via the app include check-in; daily activities and schedules; complete deck plans; dining, shore excursions and show reservations on the ship; activity planning and reservations and onboard expense accounts
At the time of filming in October 2019 , the ship is in the UK, however post pandemic, the ship is now currently sailing on a 4-5 night cruise from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas Dress Code
The dress code on Independence of the Seas is mostly casual, both during the day and in the evening.
Daytime: During the day, dress is casual (shorts, T-shirts, flip-flops).
Evening: On cruises longer than five nights, there are two formal nights, though formal on Indy is better defined as "smart casual" -- very few people dress up in tuxedo or full ballgown/cocktail dress attire. Most men wear a jacket and shirt and women will opt for a nice dress. The other nights are resort casual (tropical sundresses and pants outfits for women, khakis and shirts for men).
Not permitted: Tank tops are prohibited in the main dining room and specialty restaurants at dinner. Shoes must be worn in all dining venues at all times.
