Hey guys this is your High Fist, here with a juicy video to quench your maddening thirst! The Critical Dragon himself, Dr A.P Canavan, graciously allowed me to pick his brain on two of the most significant themes of the 10 Big Books – colonialism and empire. I asked him questions about civilization, imperialism and how these issues are explored quite uniquely in the Malazan tales. He drew on his vast knowledge of the fantasy genre and Erikson’s writing process to answer your High Fist’s questions, so we hope you enjoy it!
