Viola Concerto, Movement IV; Georg Phillip Telemann, TWV 51:G9

Описание к видео Viola Concerto, Movement IV; Georg Phillip Telemann, TWV 51:G9

The Last Movement of Georg Phillip Telemann's Concerto for Viola. The harpsichord was a virtual instrument. All other parts performed and recorded by Timothy Rohwer.

Telemann is less well known amongst his contemporaries in the Baroque time period (such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Antonio Vivaldi, Georg Frideric Handel, etc.). In his day, though, he was well regarded by many fellow composers. He is also one of the most prolific composers as far as volume of work, with more than 3,000 pieces.
