I had the chance to go hands-on with Royalty Free For All at PAX West in an exclusive one-hour play session with the NintenByte Podcast crew. Huge thanks to the AAAA Games dev team for their time and to Kit & Krysta for coordinating this incredible opportunity.
Royalty Free For All is a hand-drawn indie platform fighter where classic public domain characters like Mother Goose, Dorothy, and Sweeney Todd duke it out in colorful storybook arenas. It’s easy to pick up, full of charm, and features music from legendary composers like David Wise, with Grant Kirkhope set as a Kickstarter stretch goal!
The Kickstarter campaign is live now through September 25th, and the more it’s supported, the more fighters, stages, music, and features will be added. Backers can even score plushies, enamel pins, closed beta access, or cameo appearances for their favorite public domain characters.
