Japanese Couple Chooses Rural Life - Staying At My First WarmShowers | Ep. #11

Описание к видео Japanese Couple Chooses Rural Life - Staying At My First WarmShowers | Ep. #11

I recently met a Japanese couple that was doing something that I thought was pretty amazing. They decided to ditch their city lives in Kyoto and Tokyo and move to the countryside to start a business and live off the land. I was invited to their home, along with some other foreigners, for some good ole cultural exchange as we got our feet nice and muddy to help them plant some rice.

When I was passing through Fukui city, I stayed at my first ever Warmshowers in Japan.

The Warmshowers.org Foundation is a vibrant community comprising touring cyclists and gracious hosts. Our community serves as a platform for cyclists seeking meaningful connections during their journeys, and perhaps even the comfort of a warm shower along the way. Our dedicated hosts create genuine moments of joy for all involved.

My host family in Fukui City opened up their home to me and treated me like family. They were extremely kind and welcoming. They provided me a room, fed me tons of delicious food, and of course, treated me to as many warm showers as I wanted.
