Ep 6 | Meet The Monks At The Biggest Monastery of Zanskar | Karsha Village, Padum | Ladakh Vlog 2021

Looking to travel to offbeat places in Ladakh? In that case, Zanskar has to be in your list. Welcome to the Day 3 of this Epic Road trip during which I am covering 'Untraveled Ladakh'. On this day, I visited Karsha Monastery which is said to be the largest and most important monastery in Zanskar. This monastery belongs to the Gelugpa school of Buddhism. Located at a distance of 7 km from Zanskar, this monastery was built in the 10th century by the Tibetan Master/Guru Padmasambhava. There are 70 to 100 monks who live in this monastery. There is also a primary school in the monastery premises where Lamas get primary education.
