'Kauai King' Takes First In The Kentucky Derby
A Maryland-bred colt with the Hawaiian name, 'Kauai King', takes The Roses in the 92nd running of the Kentucky Derby at venerable Churchill Downs in Louisville. He broke from the gate as the leader and was never headed, winning by half a length over 'Advocator', with 'Blue Skyer', placing third.
