Willamette Valley Resilient Landscapes Initiative 2024

Описание к видео Willamette Valley Resilient Landscapes Initiative 2024

The Willamette Valley Resilient Landscapes project builds on significant and continuing federal and state investments by delivering restoration across jurisdictions on newly permanently protected oak and prairie habitats, through a robust, diverse, and established partnership.

This project will restore over 2,171 acres of oak and prairie habitat across 22 permanently protected properties on tribal, private, and public land. Of the 2,171 acres, 798 acres will be restored by Tribes on Tribal land. The project will utilize a coordinated and strategic approach that leverages resources, focuses on priority conservation areas and species, and produces substantial ecological returns. This project will also develop a stronger local conservation workforce, a more robust restoration supply chain and advance Tribal priorities. The development and implementation of this project involves a robust and diverse partnership including Tribes, land trusts, conservation districts, landowners, conservation non-profits, foundations, Joint Ventures, city government, and state and federal agencies.
