It’s here! Born at 3:20pm on St. Patrick’s Day, weighing 4,621 pounds. Labor lasted about 8.5 hours as the Matthews Mobile Media Team provided constant care to deliver the bright and healthy addition to the Beacon family. We departed MMM with a well-wrapped bundle that is receiving a lot of attention! Of course, it made perfect sense to name it “The BITS-mobile”.

Beacon’s IT Services Division, which primarily serves the Triad area (Greensboro/Winston-Salem/High Point) has experienced fast growth over the last year. “The BITS-mobile will not only provide dedicated transportation for our technical staff, but also transport equipment such as servers and desktops to our client sites, as needed,” says Mark Dirks, Beacon’s CEO. “Since our clients are typically within a 60-mile radius, our marketing team recognized the opportunity to market BITS locally while traveling around the Triad. Matthews Mobile Media has been a long time client of ours for their website support and digital marketing, that we saw this as a good opportunity to showcase their incredible capabilities by videotaping the process.”

John Scaramuzzo, Beacon’s co-founder and COO, leads the newly dubbed “BITS” Division (Beacon IT Services) and is anticipating continued growth after seeing the client base double over the last 12 months. “Although my team constantly monitors our clients’ technical infrastructure so we can be proactive in maintaining system health and avoiding technical problems, there are times when the staff needs to be on site for installations and to work on specific issues,” says Scaramuzzo. “We make it a point that BITS is an extension of our client’s organization, so we can be on-site within minutes.”
