Passive Intermodulation (PIM) Measurement using Vector Network Analyzer | IMS 2012 | Keysight

Описание к видео Passive Intermodulation (PIM) Measurement using Vector Network Analyzer | IMS 2012 | Keysight

Passive Intermodulation (PIM) is the unwanted signal or intermodulation signals generated in the passive device with two or more frequency signals. The PIM could be an issue in the wireless communication industry when the PIM from the passive components in the transmission path falls into the receiver path. The unwanted signals can increase the noise level of the receiver path that degrades quality of the wireless communication system. With the continuing evolution of communication systems, testing the PIM is becoming increasingly important.
With the modern vector network analyzer (VNA), the PIM measurement can be more cost effective, faster throughput, and better accuracy than the conventional PIM measurement solution. This presentation describes basic principle of the PIM measurement and the PIM measurement technique with the VNA. Also, benefits of the PIM measurement solution based on Keysight E5072A ENA series network analyzer will be introduced.
