Material of the scene of the Harrow and Wealdstone rail crash. Shots of the three trains piled up in the station. People helping to rescue the injured and remove the dead. Firemen, ambulance men and police are all on hand. Lots of the footage of covered dead bodies was not used in the newsreel story. (112 people died) Aerial views of the devastated scene. Women at the scene (including a nun) are rolling bandages. CU station sign 'Harrow & Wealdstone'. Firemen put out the boiler on one of the locomotives.



N.B. this material really gives a much greater idea of the horror of one of Britain's worst rail disasters than the cut story.
