You'll find yourself wondering if we're alone in the universe, after you hear these snazzy lyrics. Galileo, Newton, Einstein, and Hubble would roll over in their graves, if they heard this rap!

Is really much bigger than you see wit ya eyes
Them tiny little stars, seem close, but they are far
You could fit a hundred suns into one star, now thats bizarre!

Stars are made of gas, it doesnt happen fast
It takes billions of years for them to build up they mass
And if they super-sized, their size is their demise
They end up as a supernova, can you say bye-bye?

Now whats a galaxy? Yo Star Trek is fo geeks!
A galaxy has stars and gas and dust, they all unique.
Theres 3 major types, our Milky Ways one kind
We shaped like a spiral with arms that unwind

We have old and new stars, we rotate
With a bulge in the center, gravity is our spinner
Beware to all stars who enter

Some galaxies are round, no gas or dust around
They kinda like the old folks home for stars,
now thats profound!
All their stars are old, thats just how they roll
Their shape is easy to pick out, they called Ellipticals!

Now what about the rest? Those galaxies with zest?
They got no clear-cut shape, but they not trippin or obsessed
Irregularly shaped, these galaxies are great
They full of gas and dust, so they happy to create.

And new stars are born, by the ten thousands and more
Its a birthday party in the sky, and thats fo sure!
So how to classify? These gas-balls in the sky?
Its called an H-R diagram, but dont ask me why

H-R diagram? What the heck do it do?
It relates the stars temperature to its magnitude
Some stars are not that hot, but they be super bright
They known as the red supergiants, they aight!

Some stars are super hot, but not very bright
They be known as white dwarfs, they the corpse of stars who died
And what about our sun, that orange ball of light
Its a main-sequence star, not too hot or not too bright!

How do we measure , this stuff in outerspace?
The distances of space seem to far for us to pace?
Its called a light year, and no its not a time
It measures those ginormous distances in da sky!

Its the distance light travels, in one years time
10 trillion kilometers, me oh my!
If a star is a million light years from our home
The light that you seein is a million years old!

So you could be lookin, at a star that has died
If that dont freak you out, then I think somebody lied
But Im still on your side, cuz Mrs. Harvey is yo guide
At least until our planet and a meteor collide!

Our solar systems tight, we used to have nine
But now were only eight, cuz Plutos undersized
Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars
Jupiter and Saturn are much larger by far

Neptune and Uranus are the last two in line
But Earths the only planet where humans can thrive
We just happen to be the perfect distance from the sun
