I learned that there is a disease called Aster Yellow disease. It is incurable.

It does not survive in the soil, so THAT is good. If you destroy the plants (I am thinking of burning them?) But I am broken hearted knowing I will have to tear out any affected plant.

Possibly including my precious, perennial Sunchokes. 😩

Focusing on positives: the asparagus is thriving and those cosmos!! 😍
