A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of meeting up with our good friend Chris (Whipper) Layton at his studio in Austin, Texas to check out a special project. Chris Layton is best known for his drumming with Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Eric Johnson, Willie Nelson, Arc Angels and many many more. After we talked ideas for Stevie's drum kit, Chris showed us around his studio filled with hidden Grammy's, Mitch Mitchell's snare drum (drummer for Jimi Hendrix), photos of Chris in his early days, and lots and lots of drums. Oh, and he plays a few beats for us.
