Artem Laguta poised to become world champion after victory at Poland GP | FIM Speedway | 2021

Russia's Artem Laguta is on the verge of being crowned Speedway 2021 world champion after winning the final at the Polish Grand Prix in Torun.

Going into the meeting Laguta was just a point ahead of his nearest rival, defending champion Bartosz Zmarzlik, in the standings.

But with the Pole finishing third in his semi-final and thus failing to reach the final, Laguta took the opportunity to increase his lead to nine points going into Saturday's final round, also in Torun.
