07-13-21 My first flight on my new OpenPPG SP140 electric paramotor - FPV

This is the FPV (First Person View) version of my first SP140 electric paramotor flight. This machine exceeded all of my expectations. The main thing that I learned from this flight is that I need to fly it in "Chill" mode on the next few flights!!

The afternoon was very hot, and the wind was out of the SE about 7-8 mph. I was anxious because this is a new motor that I had never flown, it is heavier than my Tornado 280, the throttle is different than what I usually use, the 3 blade prop is 140 cm and the torque to the right is very strong and abrupt if the throttle is not applied very smoothly.....this was all new to me, so, I had to stop and re-kite the wing half way into the takeoff......it is not pretty!! Once I re-kited the wing and applied power a bit more smoothly, takeoff was only 3 or 4 more steps. It is a new beast that I will eventually master! It has more power than my 280 ....and it is instant. The flight was a very quiet one with no vibration.....I felt very comfortable and safe. This is the future!
