The YCP MP Kothapalli Geetha is likely to face an embarrassing inquiry from the Election Commission of India regarding the status of her caste. The YCP has filed a petition before the Election Commission of India that Geetha does not belong to ST category and that she filed a fake caste certificate while submitting her nomination papers.

The MP is of late fallen out with the top brass of YCP. She alleged in a recent press meet that the party has not only belittled her but also totally side lined her. She even said that the YCP President Jagan Mohan Reddy has no respect for women and there is no voice for women in his party
