Testing the idea of camping on remote and quiet piers along the Wild Atlantic Way in winter. In this trip my dog and I go car camping in a Discovery 3. It was too windy for the roof top tent. We explored the Beara Peninsula in West Cork and Kerry, South West Ireland.
The trip takes place in a stormy November. The Drone was blown away by high winds on multiple occasions due to high winds. At the end of the video we take a look at the strategies that brought it home. An understanding of winds, acceleration zones, Coreolis force that causes a changing of wind direction with altitude and surface friction effects that slow wind towards the surface can be difference between seeing your drone again, or not.
