On the night of November 30, 1994, the day before his trial for alleged sexual assault, Shakur was shot five times and robbed after entering a room at Quad Record Studios in Manhattan, New York, by two black men wearing balaclavas. Tupac later blamed Puff Daddy (P Diddy), Andre Harrell, and Biggie Smalls for the attack, believing that the attack was a result of his refusal to sign a contract with Bad Boy, which Andre Harrell had offered him. According to doctors, Tupac had two bullets in the head, two in the groin, and one in the arm. He also blamed his associate Randy Walker. He left the hospital three hours after the operation, against doctors' orders, going to court in a wheelchair, where he was found guilty and imprisoned in the New York Penitentiary.
