Oral minoxidil has been used successfully for hair loss due to various causes. It has a good side effect profile. As it was originally a medication for high blood pressure, there are questions on its safety in those who are already on blood pressure medications and heart issues. Two recent studies have looked at this topic in depth and have come to the conclusion that oral minoxidil is safe to use in those who have blood pressure and also in those on medications for blood pressure. A few cautions are advised, which is discussed in the video.
