Stuart (VE9CF) Ventures into Nature: A Successful POTA and WWFF Activation at Brookvale Protected Area

Stuart (VE9CF) recently embarked on an adventurous expedition to Brookvale Protected Area in New Brunswick for a Parks On The Air (POTA) and World Wide Flora & Fauna (WWFF) activation. Despite a weekend of relentless rain, a sunny Sunday provided Stuart with the perfect opportunity to immerse himself in the great outdoors and indulge in his passion for amateur radio.

Equipped with his trusty POTA rubber boots and accompanied by his faithful companion, Poyota, Stuart set out for an unforgettable experience in the heart of nature. The rugged terrain and muddy trails posed no challenge for Stuart and Poyota, as they navigated through the wilderness with ease, eager to make their mark on the airwaves.

As Stuart began his activation, his radio crackled with excitement. With finesse and skill, he swiftly communicated with fellow enthusiasts, establishing an impressive total of 120 QSOs (contacts). Several DX (long-distance) stations were among these contacts, adding an extra layer of thrill and accomplishment to the adventure.

One particularly noteworthy contact was made with a station in Ukraine, highlighting the global reach of amateur radio and the power of connectivity across borders.
