This setting will include God by default.

You will find people that have a difficult time to submit and honor authority. But this also includes God. They have evolved this problem under a lot of abuse of authority as they grew up.

A Person must recognize when they have this problem and bring it before God, and make it right before God. Unless they recognize it, they won’t change their ways.

Exodus 20: 12
12 Regard (treat with honor, due obedience, and courtesy) your father and mother, that your days may be long in the land the Lord your God gives you.

Honor isn’t always what people think it is. The way we treat and talk about parents, will speak of how you honor your parents.

Genesis 9: 20 – 25
18 The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham and Japheth. (Ham was the father of Canaan.) 19 These were the three sons of Noah, and from them came the people who were scattered over the whole earth. 20 Noah, a man of the soil, proceeded[a] to plant a vineyard. 21 When he drank some of its wine, he became drunk and lay uncovered inside his tent. 22 Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father naked and told his two brothers outside. 23 But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it across their shoulders; then they walked in backward and covered their father’s naked body. Their faces were turned the other way so that they would not see their father naked. 24 When Noah awoke from his wine and found out what his youngest son had done to him, 25 he said,
“Cursed be Canaan! The lowest of slaves will he be to his brothers.”

I think there’s more to the story than what we read here. I think the way that he told his brothers wasn’t good. Two brothers decided to cover their father’s nakedness, while the one spoke in dishonor about it. True honor covers someone’s nakedness (weakness; sins and mistakes). Especially your parent’s mistakes.
