Downhill Race - Toyota AE86 vs. Nismo R34 GT-R Z-Tune [3D Animation]

So I had taken all the animation courses in my undergrad in university and not one produced a satisfying animation so I went solo and made one myself. I had always wanted to do a car race and naturally I chose to model my favorite car, the AE86 and the Z-Tune. In total the modeling of the AE86, terrain, animation and rendering took 3.5 months. I had already modeled the Z-Tune last summer so I just took it and prettied it up for this project. People who have seen the Initial D anime will find this race to be familiar. The inspiration was all from that anime - the idea that an old, underpowered car with no ABS or other technology can outperform newer cars was this project's intent. Hoping they will announced a new season because there's a lot of stuff to adapt from the manga.
