Seiko has changed

When many of us started our collecting journey, Seiko was a very undervalued brand. I remember fondly the 'good old days' of $165 SKX's, $220 Gen2 Monsters, $350 Sarbs, and $1700 MM300s. Those days are long gone, and they are not coming back. Now Seiko charges an appropriate amount for their much expanded product collection. But many feel that once attractive 'value prop' is no longer strong. This MM200 is one of these newer models. But is it exciting?

It has a textured dial, amazing lume, smaller fit, milled clasp, sapphire crystal, 1968 inspired design... all for $1250 full retail... You tell me. I like it!
