I grew up listening to rap and wrote since 14 when I went into foster care. Over the years, I chronicled my life in my verses using writing as a release, almost like therapy to process and deal with violence, death, and addiction. 8 months ago I reached the point where I decided I won’t die with my music still inside me and am dedicating the rest of my life to this. Music saved my life. Now it’s my turn to return the favour.

I came across this video yesterday whilst going through the vault. I won’t lie, I thought about clipping it and cutting out certain bits (and I still might for shorts). But then I thought so many people hide and cover the growth of their journey and just spring up in the publics eye as fully developed artists already. So I decided to give you the unedited raw footage first.

This was my first time debuting LIVE at The 2Funky Music Cafe in Leicester. Only 4 months into my career. I decided to share my origin with them.

I once got asked the question: what’s your first memory?

This song wrote itself out of me in answer. From exploring my earliest childhood memories and evolving into the man I’m growing into. RED is my origin. True story. Real rap.
