For this film review,we are saddling up again and headed into the West,1865 to be precise.
TNT created 27 Westerns in 14 years and they pretty much always featured Sam Elliott and Tom Selleck,either together as in "The Sacketts" or solo as in the film we're talking about today..."Last Stand At Saber River" which Selleck as ex-Confederate Paul Cable who rides from one war and comes home to another.
I had a lot of fun watching "Last Stand At Saber River" which features a great cast and exciting action with Elmore Leonard's strong story. While many Western fans look at the 40s or 50s as the Western's Golden Age,I think Ted Turner made a bold statement that ANY time can be a Golden Age for the genre and that modern made Westerns can shine just as bright....
