Joe Starr to me is what old showbiz must've been like in the day but set now in a modern environment. Joe's from Long Island and has the right amount of attitude that says, "Hey, New York is more than a state of mind so rub me the wrong way and I'll rub you out." He's a gentle soul. His biggest influence is comedic legend Charlie Chaplin. Both are physical in their representation but unlike Chaplin Starr is in color and speaks. He's leaning lately (like Chaplin) more into the silver screen and appeared in the Oliver Stone-directed "World Trade Center," ESPN's award winning mini-series "The Bronx is Burning," "National Lampoon's Dirty Movie"and more recently "Date Night" with Steve Carrell and Tina Fey and "The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn" directed by Steven Spielberg (produced by Peter Jackson) that will have a release date of December 2011. Joe has the most incredible stories many of which fuse themselves into his stage act. He's always a blast to hang with and treated me to breakfast this morning(but I offered a nice tip).
