In this video I share my experiences with a new crochet garment that was intended to be a Mother's Day Gift for my Daughter-in-law. I also give an update on my freeform messenger bag that now has a front and a back. I returned home, left again for Mother's Day and am currently back home again.

6) The Leyla Crop Top by Elina Vaananen is a paid-for pattern that can be found on Etsy, Ravelry and LoveCrafts.
I used skein of Carons Blossom Cake in the colorway Caribbean Sea with a 3 mm hook for the edging, a 3.25 mm hook for the lacey parts and a 4 mm hook for all the rest. This was made as a gift for my daughter-in-law for Mother's Day. In total I used one Blossom Cake, with some left over.

7) I completed my carpenter bird scene of my canvas messenger bag that I am covering in freeform crochet. I joined the front and the back panels and they have been sewn to the bag.
