- The world’s first international residential university, Nalanda University, has now been revived.
- This is located in Rajgir, Bihar, was the dream of our former president Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, envisioned in 2006.
- The university campus spans a vast 455 acres, equivalent to more than 300 football grounds.
- Over 90% of the development is already complete, with 24 buildings already finished.
- A grand library is being constructed with a capacity of over 300,000 books.
- This university is completely self-sufficient in terms of electricity and water.
- It has water bodies resembling lakes spread over 100 acres and wastewater treatment plants.
- Additionally, solar plants provide electricity.
- Nalanda University can accommodate more than 7,500 students at a time.
- Currently, over 200 students from more than 20 countries are studying here.
