I was curious to see If it was possible to rebuild the gear shifter on the E46 chassis, without removing the exhaust and the driveshaft. So I bought a shifter rebuild kit and went for it. This video is not intended to be a step-by-step guide on how to rebuild the shifter, but rather to serve as proof that it's possible to tackle this job by going the "hard" way.
