I kind of know the areas due to nights out here when I was a booty myself. If you walk for long enough in Exmouth you'll hear the faint whispers of bootnecks spinning CTC training team dits to their other half. Yes I did hear that on more than one occasion 😂.

it is the capital Royal Marines town due to Lympstone Commando. And a lot of them settle here once they leave.

it's got one hell of a long beach front so you'll have plenty of space if you choose to sun it up in Exmouth.
