Our journey begins with a stunning 6 km hike around the famous Akoura lakes, offering breathtaking views from the top. Then, we'll meet the biking team near Saydet el Qarn, where we'll grab our bikes and embark on a 12 km trail to Rweiss Grotto. The biking route isn't too tough, but participants should be comfortable on a bike.
As we pedal, we'll marvel at the beauty of Akoura's lakes and villages, reaching Rweiss grotto where you'll have two thrilling options: an informative route or a more adventurous challenge.

Nature wise, Aaqoura is known to have one of the most breathtaking mountain chain in lebanon and is known to be very rich in water fountains and rivers and it is as well home to numerous caves.

Information about Rweiss Grotto
Ruwais Cave is located in the village of Al-Aqoura, and it is one of the largest and most prominent caves. The name goes back to the Syriac language and means cold spring of water. Historians acknowledge that one of the oldest monuments in Aqoura is the Ruwais Cave, which is considered one of the largest in Lebanon, and is rich in limestone statues and geomorphological features. The cave includes a network of misleading narrow passages, and a subterranean river flows in the lower layers of it, which is the main reason for the formation of the Ruwais River valley, which is 3 kilometers long, and is the most important tributary of the Ibrahim River. Above the winter river flowing from that cave, a natural bridge links the areas of Aqoura and Majdal.
