Recovering from a Fleur de lis abdominoplasty

Описание к видео Recovering from a Fleur de lis abdominoplasty

A Fleur-de-lis Abdominoplastyis for patients who have an extreme amount of loose abdominal skin after weight loss. It removes more skin than a regular abdominoplasty.

Fleur-de-lis is French for water lily. It refers to the pattern of skin excision used in a Fleur-de-lis abdominoplasty, which leaves a vertical and horizontal scar.

The horizontal cut removes the excess skin from the upper and lower abdomen.

The vertical cut removes the excess skin from the middle.

When I bring the skin together and suture it closed, it creates a narrower waistline. The operation takes four to six hours.

If you’re thinking about a Fleur-de-lis abdominoplasty, you may wonder what
recovery is like. I review this in detail in this video.
